Pedal for Progress 2025 is a fundraising bike ride from Sacramento to San Diego from July 12th to the 20th. This journey aims to support Cherry Willow Apparel's mission to end homelessness. Our vision is to change how the world perceives homelessness by leveraging fashion as a catalyst for awareness and action. By offering ethically sourced, high-quality apparel, with empathetic and thought provoking messaging, we fund direct support initiatives for individuals experiencing homelessness. Over 9 days, our Founder, Matt Fogarty, will cycle approximately 750 miles from Sacramento to San Diego. This route allows him to stop and serve at shelters in 7 of the top 14 cities with the highest number of people experiencing homelessness. He is biking because that is the main form of transportation for many people experiencing homelessness. Homelessness affects hundreds of thousands of individuals and families, leading to hardships that many of us cannot imagine. Cherry Willow Apparel is dedicated to creating a community that is educated on the existing data-backed solutions. It is more than just a fashion brand—a comprehensive platform for advocacy, economic empowerment, and community reintegration.
We strive to restore dignity and hope to those homelessness effects.
